Why canola?
Canola belongs to the same family as mustard, broccoli, and turnip. Moreover, canola seeds have many health benefits, as it consists of high levels of essential fatty acids, vitamins, and essential amino acids. Currently, canola is one of the major crops produced all over the world for manufacturing vegetable oils and feed products. However, we believe that because of its nutritional profile, canola has the potential to play a key role in the transition to a more plant-based diet.
Our innovation
At Cano-ela, we have developed a new way to produce final food products from raw materials. Instead of extracting highly refined ingredients, we extract natural structures present in canola and other oil-rich seeds, and use them as building blocks to create foods.
Our portfolio has three innovative ingredients that can help companies to remove between three and five refined/synthetic ingredients from their current formulation.
Natural pre-mixes of ingredients
Our innovative ingredients are presented as natural pre-mixes of ingredients, as they are composed of various macro- and micro-nutrients. Our canola ingredients are: Cano-cream, Cano-soluble, and Cano-fiber.
